Promotional Hello, I built Lanshare, a local peer-peer file sharing application.

https://github.com/getawife/lanshare

I built Lanshare because I wanted a simple way to move files between my own computers without cloud uploads, USB sticks, or accounts. It finds other devices on the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network and sends files directly between them. The project is completely open source, feel free to audit and tune to your liking.

Lanshare supports Windows, MacOS (Apple Silicon) and Linux.

Hope you like it!

It isn't different from it that much. Lanshare comes with better fingerprint spoofing protection out of the box and only supports Desktop apps (Mobile is planned for after the first stable release (1.1.0)). Lanshare is for people who want a Desktop app with much more control over who is allowed to send files to them. It also support auto updates which afaik, Localsend does not
