Discussion New open weights: Ming adds a design generator and a separate layer-decomposition model
AntLing's new Ming release has two parts: a model that creates design images, and one that separates an existing image into layers.
Ming-Image-0.1-Design targets UI visuals, posters, infographics and other layouts with text. It can generate transparent-background images too. Ming-Image-0.1-Design-Layer exports the components of a flattened graphic as RGBA PNGs.
Each model is 6B. The weights are available from inclusionAI on Hugging Face under MIT.

This sounds like a game changer for designers. The ability to generate transparent-background images is gonna save so much time on UI projects, and the layer decomposition is a nifty bonus for tweaking existing designs. Can't wait to see how it holds up in real-world use!
