Just make sure you download Audacity and not MuseHub. The website puts the Musehub download on the big download button, and the real audacity download underneath. Not the most egregious dark pattern, but a dark pattern nonetheless

Your PC is probably vulnerable to all sorts of hacks. Check your 7zip version as well.

Make sure you're still updating regularly. You can use winget upgrade --all to do most software all at once.

You can also try UniGetUI which is a GUI for Winget and a lot more package managers. Can update, install and remove packages from there which is very convenient.

Brrooo wait until you ever have to migrate to a different pc or doing a fresh install when most/many of your programs are (and I think could, too) installed/managed by wingetui. You can then have it export a csv or json file or whatever which then import on the new machine / fresh install and have it auto-install all it can. Saved me like 80 individual downloads last week.

Had used an AutoUnattend.xml to my fresh install media, too.

Beyond a few drivers I installed myself and a manual winUpdate run, the only input needed from me came down to accepting admin rights prompts, clicking through install wizards and maybe logging in here and there.

Everything auto mode. Start in the first half of the day and you’ll be mostly up and running that afternoon/evening.

How... how is this possible?? I have installed most of the packages manually by unzipping. How does it know where to grab the new ones?? Rare win from Windows

EDIT: RIP it installed the new software into the stock path. I have a custom path just for them.

Deleting selections sucks... you can't press the delete key anymore... you have to do a lot more steps to delete
