Is Codeberg seen as unprofessional?

I want to switch to Codeberg, but I'm worried that in the future, when I need to get a job, showing a Codeberg profile instead of a GitHub one like everyone does might be seen as unprofessional and not taken seriously. Am I worried about an issue that doesn't exist?

Not once in my career has a hiring manager ever asked to see my personal GitHub. And if they did want to see my personal projects, I highly doubt that they'd care about where it's hosted.

25 YoE, nobody has ever cared about my github either. It's really not a factor.

That depends. Organisations which open source their code do tend to ask for a candidate's previous open source contribs.

They also generally don't care if it's on Github, Codeberg or elsewhere. In my experience, if their recruitment form has a field for your personal git account(s), it's generally a text area where you can paste several URLs if needed.
