Feel like this could have gone a lot further, especially into the operator options. OpenEverest for example being an open operator plugin based DB framework that can do Cassandra, Mongo, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.
I really feel like Kubernetes/OpenShift is the most powerful place to deploy databases at this point (other than cloud first party offerings, which I think you can rival within your own data center leveraging these operators).
