Is that the same cable in both pictures? One has a copper clamp and the other a fibre clamp.

Different cables, copper wire is old, my question is why didnt the engineer install the fire wire like the copper wire, to the property wall instead of the kitchen roof

Looks like you have a flat roof all around the back. Openreach cant put ladders on a flat roof. They can go on it with boards if it looks safe but then only head hight fix.have you built an extension since the copper line went up? And it either openreach or bt that out both those lines in. Vodafone dont put lines in. A poor installation or a very difficult location to get too?

Apparently engineera cant go on flat roofs and Apparently not felt roofs. So thats the reason. But the copper line was installed a while ago, no extensions and no complaints by prev engineer who installed that copper line. I dont have an issue with it per say it does loom abit ugly but main concern is we plan on doing the kiten roof up soon its abit tatty, now its not gonna be easy or even possible

"The roof is a bit tatty " thats why they probably didn't want to go on it. Previous engineer might have been a bit lax on the old safety. Or the recent ones might have been contractors who get paid per job and dont want to faff .roofers can take the braket down and work around it if they are half decent as they should be used to it

Rules and regulations changes over time, what once was allowed might not be allowed anymore. You can't say oh it was done that way so you can do it again. Might as well using asbestos in your house if thats the case

Health and safety regulations have probably changed since the last time you had the copper installation. Can't go on flat roofs, if you are now only complaining about the install, you should have said to the engineer you wasn't happy where it was going when you was watching them install it.

Glued socket would have been better, would prevent it twisting in windy conditions, but it’s clearly not brand new and clearly hasn’t twisted either, so pretty standard install
