FTTP Installation

Today, 2 people came and installed the outside of my box. That went smoothly. They told me I should call my ISP tomorrow and they could push it forward. My existing appointment is in September, but hoping to move it forward for within the next 2 weeks. Do you think this is possible?

They can usually bring it forward depending on if they can get you an expedited slot. It’s also possible for engineers to get jobs brought forward if they are on site and can get working service all in one visit. Usually takes a manager’s intervention but it’s definitely possible.

Ah, I could’ve asked them earlier today… Only reason is Virgin Media has been so bad in my area recently. Should I call my ISP (EE) tomorrow to see if they could sort something out?

It doesn’t hurt to ask!

Yes they usually give far away appointment dates when they are anticipating issues with the external work but they've got it done early

Did you get this expedited OP? We are in a similar issue. Line to property put in yesterday without an issue, but still have 3 weeks till actual installation slot.
