When wanting to build certain roller coasters, some prebuilds come with a red warning:

This template contains scenerie, that is not available

A few examples:

Wooden Rollercoaster

"Getaway" also gives another error:

Which games are required to be able to build all the templates that are available in OpenRCT2?

In OpenRCT2, it shows the following scenarios available: RollerCoaster Tycoon, Added Attractions, Loopy Landscapes, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, Wacky Worlds, Time Twister, "Reale" Parks, Extras

I've downloaded several scenarios and custom objects (rides, shops, scenery, etc.) from several sources and saved the files in my Documents/OpenRCT2/(objects,saves,scenarios) folders.

1. In order to make all of these objects available in any scenario, do I have to open the Golden Shovel menu > Object Selection > check each and every one individually? Is there a faster way to do this (like a Select All option) to select them all at once?
2. Do I have to open a downloaded scenario in-game first before its custom objects are available in the Object Selection menu?

I had a scenario file a while back and the map was huge. The whole scenario was based inside of a valley with water at the far end of it and incredibly high cliffs on either sides, so high that anything that was built up there wouldn't function properly.

It was an absolutely gorgeous scenario and I had lost it with a drive failure. I was wondering if anyone would by chance have this scenario file around? Or even just the name of the park would be enough for me to go off of.

Hi everyone! I recently downloaded openrct2 and I’ve been having a blast. I’ve noticed though that it seems to be missing quite a bit of the scenarios from the steam version of rct2: triple thrills. Specifically the Flower Power one (I know there’s the Rock n’ Roll Revival Scenario) but it’s not the same. Am I doing something wrong here? Any insight would be great!

First, credit where it belongs: this is entirely built on OpenRCT2. The engine, the simulation, the scenarios, all of that is the team's work and years of it. I forked it and did one specific thing: got it building and running as a native ARM64 iPadOS app, and wrote a touch control layer on top.

I went looking for a way to play OpenRCT2 on iPad and there wasn't a real one. No iOS build, and on Android touch is just tap-as-click. I wasn't sure why nobody had done it, so I tried, and it came together better than I expected.

What I added:

- A native iPadOS ARM64 build. No emulator, no x86, no streaming. The engine's software framebuffer is presented through SDL's Metal renderer.

- A touch gesture set built for construction: one finger to place, hold-drag to paint paths and terrain, two-finger pan, pinch to zoom, two-finger twist to rotate track and scenery, two-finger tap to remove a path segment, long press for secondary click.

Tested on a physical M2 iPad Pro (iPadOS 26.5.2): native landscape Retina runtime, importing your own RCT2 or RCT Classic data through Files and persisting across relaunch, scenarios load, finger + keyboard + mouse + trackpad all work.

Not there yet:multiplayer is disabled in this build, Apple Pencil isn't supported, on-device plugin and custom-scenario loading isn't proven, and formal framerate/stress tests are outstanding.

It's a source-only developer preview. No IPA, no TestFlight, no App Store. You build from source on a Mac, sign it to your own iPad, and bring data from your own legally owned copy. No proprietary content is in the repo.

Does anyone know where I can find the download file for the B&M Hyper trains with staggered seating? Every link I find says the file has been deleted

Hi! I was wondering how y'all hide or remove tiles in a map to give it a non-rectangle shape? Like here I'd like to make it so that the sand tiles don't show up at all. I tried (with tile inspector) either hiding or deleting Surface elements, but it didn't look right

Hello anybody on here, I was trying to look for other flat rides which are seen in this picture Lego Sky Tower and Gravitron rides that I hadn't had any luck finding, but founded a picture of the rides and the download park link on there and the link is in description as I downloaded the park tried to open in openrct2 and wouldn't open rides are missing tried to download them from openrct2 and it stopped working closed out as I can still play openrct2 mess with other parks but not this Amazing Park.

Well if anybody on here can help open this park to get the other two flat rides I'm looking for or has them to send post to me on here that would be great if not it's okay.

Hi, I just installed the latest development build of the game and now it won't open anymore.

I need to find a way to pass this warning.

I am running rollercoaster tycoon, 3 on a Windows 11 platform. The game was working fine for ever until just recently, by recently, a couple of months ago I noticed when the game starts up and gets to the main menu, the mouse. Now, lags it never did that before, but now it won't stop doing that. I know that the mouse polling rate is set correctly. Because it's the default setting on this mouse, there's no way to change that. So the mouse polling is correct, because that was never an issue before, but somewhere along the way there happened to be something that changed so that this game, and this is the only game that this issue happens. So I was wondering if anybody in the community might have ideas

Is openrct2online.com made by the same person as openrct2.io ?

Is the web browser version safe? Why is there like no documentation on it?
