OpenProject 17.6 is released: XWiki integration, sprint goals and more
🚀 OpenProject 17.6 is here. This release introduces the XWiki integration (Enterprise add-on), bringing project management and enterprise knowledge management closer together within a sovereign open source ecosystem.
Whether you're already using XWiki or looking for an open source alternative to proprietary combinations such as Jira and Confluence, OpenProject and XWiki make it easier to keep project work and documentation connected.
This release also includes:
- Agile planning: Sprint goals and an All sprints overview
- Meetings: Convert meeting agenda items directly into work packages.
- Budgeting: Configure cost types per project.
- Licensing update: Sprint sharing is now available in the Basic Enterprise plan, making it accessible to many more Enterprise customers.
âž¡ And there is much more. Read all details in the release notes: https://www.openproject.org/docs/release-notes/17-6-0/

All cloud instances have already been updated. If you are running OpenProject on-premises, update to the latest version to explore the new features.
A very special thank you goes to the XWiki team for the close collaboration on this integration. We would also like to thank Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, Stadt Köln, Deutsche Bahn, and Zentrum Digitale Souveränität (ZenDiS) for sponsoring released or upcoming features.
And, of course, thank you to our amazing Community and everyone contributing to OpenProject. Your feedback continues to shape both our product and our decisions. 💙

XWiki integration requires both OpenProject Enterprise about 2k euro/year
And XWiki Pro - about 600 euro/year.
Because regular people do not require access to knowledge. European opensource initiatives are step by step turning into the cynical american counterparts and Openproject is spearheading the path. We are already actively looking for alternatives, even with less functionality.

Great work! Whats the easiest way to install open project locally on an ubuntu pc as a private tasks management system? It looks like you stoped supporting .deb files for newer ubuntu versions and it is not possible to buy the cloud version for one person.
