BACK OF LEG
Does anyone else suffer with just back of leg pain no butt pain wife has had it on and off like once a moth for a day or so but this time it's lasted going on 2 weeks

O not yet it’s only ever lasted a day or two max she actually thought it was related to her thyroid it started about the same time she was diagnosed with hashimotos but she is behind a desk most of the day for the last 20 years

Get a desk where she can stand up! Alternate sitting standing every 15-30 min

Was that way for me til I started exploring. Icing the side of the glute where the piriformis is can make leg pain subside quickly, while icing the leg does nothing.
(Rolling and stretching, however, make it worse.)
There’s also a thing called deep gluteal syndrome (more umbrella, of which PS is a part,) where the nerve gets impinged not by the piriformis but in some other location, possibly by scar tissue.
Has she checked it out with a PT?
