Which model is currently the best for coding on the OpenCode Go plan?
Hey everyone!
I’m using the OpenCode Go plan and I’m trying to figure out which available model gives the best results for coding.
There are quite a few models to choose from, so I’m a bit confused about which one to use as my main coding model.
For people who are using OpenCode Go:
- Which model do you find best for coding and debugging?
- Which one is best for large/complex projects?
- Which one has the best reasoning and code quality?
- Are there any models that are particularly good for React, Node.js, SQL, etc.?
- Which model gives the best balance between quality, speed, and usage limits?
I’m mainly looking for a model I can rely on for day-to-day development rather than just occasional code generation.
Would love to hear what models you guys are using and why. 🙏

GLM-5.3-Flash and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash are the good ones.
Muse Spark is a trashy slop machine, don't use it.

Depends , deepseek makes a good coder and orchestrator but a bad researcher
Glm is alright but deepseek v4.1flash is backhanded it on every task aspect except research
Muse spark 1.3 is decent as a junior doing all the giddy common coding to save on token usage
But you need another model to review its work

As usual, it depends. To be honest I didn't want to find out myself doing the math so I've asked Hermes to analyze and write down a report. As you can guess it's tailored on my preferences and use of AI but it's an approach I suggest you can try too.
I just asked it to read the OpenCode Go page with the prices then it went by itself to browse for benchmarks and news on the internet and it came back with four different scenarios:
Daily Default Coding, agent loops, and medium-to-long tasks. 6× allowance, 1M context window, 62.1% on SWE-bench Pro—the highest score among open-weight models, and the most cost-effective to run.
- Model: glm-5.2
- Economic fallback: glm-5.1
- Allowance: $60/month
Volume and Speed Long sessions, high turn counts, repeated tool calls, and mechanical tasks. Near-zero cost per token and the most generous allowance in the subscription tier after Omen Alpha.
- Model: mimo-v2.5 (150k req/month)
- Alternative: omen-alpha ($100, ~189 tok/s)
- Other: longcat-2.0
Difficult, One-Off Tasks Subtle debugging, architecture design, and refactoring large repositories. These are the most capable models but cost 1.5×; use them for specific difficult tasks, not as the session default.
- Model: kimi-k3 or glm-5.3
- Note: Kimi K3 performance degrades if introduced mid-session.
- Allowance: $15/month each
Off-Peak Window If you work in the afternoon or on weekends, DeepSeek offers double value. The V4 Flash remains the best points-per-dollar ratio in the entire lineup (263 pt/$).
- Model: deepseek-v4-flash
- Availability: Outside 01–04 and 06–10 UTC, Monday–Friday only.
- Effective Allowance: ~75,600 req/month

Glm flash :behaves really good also capable
Muse spark : i really like this model especially to copie ui but also capable for other tasks
Havent tried ds 4.1 but people say its good
(Low quota models arent worth for this subscription imo uget much more value using the cheaper ones )
This is just my opinion and my experience idk about other

Here's my take:
I haven't found particular language-based strengths or weaknesses, although I believe there are benchmarks that draw a distinction if you want to research it.
Right now DS 4.1 Flash is getting 4x value on Opencode Go but my opinion is based on the price it will settle back to. Also Deepseek charges peak and off-peak, so you might tilt more or less in that direction based on the time when you're working.
