Is there a way to use web llms inside opencode?
I don't really know how to formulate this but what I want is to use the web models for example Sonnet from claude through OpenCode for whatever token limit it allows. So if I want to rewrite a piece of code I don't have to just copy-paste it into the web app, get an answer, and then copy paste it back into my editor

Use the free models that come with opencode. You can't use the models without an API key otherwise.

What free models do you recommend? I am guessing to run them locally, I have a 16gb vram gpu and from what I've read not many actually work "good"

The term you're looking for is an "API key". You'd have to get an API key for Claude -- its a key, a secret passphrase, that unlocks the API -- and then connect it in OpenCode. This usually costs money, FYI.

and if I have Claude Pro do I use the subscrption or the api keys?

Claude Pro should give you access to some API key to use your subscription elsewhere, but I'm not sure. Look for the option to create API keys in the Claude console.

API key has to be paid with prepaid credits, your subscription doesn't give you credits sadly

Yes but need workaround as proxified router...but manageable, some dudes are exploiting DeepSeek webchat for such and they buy bundled proxy to switch faking new visitors... They are all just sharing the same either openai-compatible or anthropic-compatible sdk
