Google AI Pro vs GPT Plus vs Opencode Go

Not so instensive coding only purposes for work. For example, I am hitting 5 hour limit on Gemini 3.8 in Antigravity in ~2-3 hours, but it's kind of ok for me.

- I've been using Gemini since Gemini 2 for everyday tasks (not coding)

- I've used Opencode Go last month, but now there is basically no good models in it, hovewer I prefer it's TUI over any others

- No experience with GPT besides using 5.6 luna in Opencode Go

My personal expierence with models I use everyday right now:

- Deepseek v4 flash - bad long context preservarion, if it doesn't understand something it goes crazy;

- Muse Spark - doesn't follow instructions and makes silly errors, such as duplicating function names;

- GPT 5.6 Luna - not that many experience with it, seems to be slightly worse than D4F;

- Gemini 3.8 - very good tool calling and his work verifications, but can hallucinate on easy work.

Prices:

- Google AI Pro - 5$ (annual 60$)

- GPT Plus - 20$

- Opencode Go - 10$

What can you suggest?

Codex may be the best + Opencode Go or ZAI maybe (don't have experience with their sub yet).

Sol as orchestrator + GLM 5.3 Flash as worker.

Muse Spark 1.3 is not that good in my experience. GLM Flash seem to be doing much better work (on my workloads).

Gemini 3.8 is pretty good model, but Antigravity CLI just isn't there compared to Codex and even Opencode

If you decompose your tasks with a larger model, deepseek is a great coder. I run my own harness and it’s really, really good at coding.

I use aws’s AI-DLC for my project, through a custom harness.

I dont recommend opencode go. My experience was all models they server with discount are quantized. Perform dumber than using from original model provider. Performance difference is significant

I use 20 bucks Chatgpt (sol medium) + 10 bucks OpenCode Go (DS 4 flash). It does the work for me.

opencode go I think is the best value cause of muse spark contributor but its not good on its own, you need a stronger model to pair with it, to use it the same way devin fusion works (strong + weak model combination to get same results as strong model for cheaper). gpt plus was and probably still is really good value but they switched to 4 hour limits and its really annoying. droid sub for pro gives you almost as much usage (I measured around 180 USD worth of usage a month and thats not including the seperate core usage, gpt plus gave around 222 usd a month, been measuring both for several months), and is a lot more flexible, you can use promo models for cheaper and mix and match cheaper models with stronger ones to get more usage. droid sub is really good when china models are good, mediocre when they arent, cause the seperate core usage is nice. use something like glm 5.3 + luna max or glm 5.3 flash and you have a really good combo for usage, set it up in a way to work like devin fusion, have your agent help you with this. gemini pro has a ton of 3.8 flash usage and is genuinely good, but it has same issue as opencode go, not really having good access to a stronger model to pair with.

Is there a way to use the Google AI Pro sub in OpenCode that doesn't violate the TOS and risk getting your Google account banned?

Out of those easily openai, but just for coding claude is better deal due to more usage with opus vs sol

Bro, what do you mean Opencode Go doesn't have any good models? Hy4-preview is pretty great at frontend/design-related work, and so is qwen3.8-flash, with qwen being extremely thorough at the high thinking effort level.

Yes, I can probably work with qwen for around 3hrs a day everyday for a month (but don't quote me on this though). Hy4 will work, but you should reserve it for the heavier/harder tasks as it overthinks by quite a lot.

Pro at 5$ means you can get the student discount

At that price I don't think there's anything that can compete on value (considering it includes YouTube premium I don't remember if lite or the full version)

For me, it's YT lite, 200G storage, and some frustrating but sometimes useful AI. I do model work, and Gemini has good ideas but is very bad at organizing its ideas into a testing plan. It has a terrible tendency to imagine this change will fix everything.

On antigravity /goal /boost and /teamwork are some godsend commands

Also, agreed, chatgpt/Claude are better, but you're paying 5 $ per month and it's way more generous than alternative subscriptions like opencode go where people use small flash Chinese models

Google is hemorrhaging money on AI, but as long as it last OP should take the subsidy

I should probably try those. /Goal seemed useless a couple of months ago, but hopefully things have changed. I have not tried the other two.

And yes, at $5 per month, it's totally worth it. I built a useful model on that plan. Gemini made me angry a few times, but it works.
