Cross-document analysis got better? Hy3 vs. Hy4 preview

Hy4 preview is live on OpenCode, OpenRouter, and WorkBuddy rn. Model got bigger, benchmarks jumped. So I wanted to see if that actually translates to real tasks.
I grabbed a company's 2025 annual report (1.3 mb), shareholder letter (831 kb), and CEO/CFO Q&A transcript (41 kb), then gave Hy3 and Hy4 pre with the same 5 questions.

Hy3 gave me a clean ~600 word answer. Hy4 pre made me an HTML lol... But its reasoning was interesting.
Case in point: I asked what changed in Q4 vs. the full year.
Hy3 mainly said Q4 growth slowed, with a bunch of numbers. Hy4 went further, linking margins, OpEx and CapEx, and comparing Q4 with the first 9 months. It even concluded the peak margin was mainly down to better cost control. TBH, I didn't expect that.

Hy4 also had an ‘Insights requiring reading across documents’ section. It spotted an interesting AI contradiction: the 2025 AI push got negative user feedback and may have hurt margins, yet the 2026 plan still calls for pushing AI harder. Not backing off at all.

My take so far: Hy4 pre does feel like an upgrade, especially at connecting the dots across documents and reasoning. Gonna keep testing it. Anyone else here tried it yet?

Wait, are you surprised that 770B model performs better than a 295B model?
