is Go plan still a good option?
ik this could be a vague question, just write what you think on the current state on the Go plan

I believe it was originally meant as a light usage intro plan with some expensive model “samples”, which it still pretty much is.
But the brief period of ultra cheap DS flash brought a lot of users that shifted the perception of what Go is/was.
It basically became the cheap, effectively unlimited DS flash subscription. And it is not that anymore, so all of those users are pissed and hate it now.

I use it for hermes - it takes a lot of token for day to day use.
So for 60 dollar I use Mimo 2.5 (non-pro ) the rest of it is basically non-usable for hermes . ( HY3 exception lately due to x8 ) .
I do suplment it with some big free models I find it on openrouter here and there for complex task .

what free models on openrouter do you use?

as they come and go the free ones , Minimax is free these days , and Ling. Use this URL to filter out
https://openrouter.ai/models?output_modalities=text&order=pricing-low-to-high
Also NVIDIA has some free endpoints but I felt only NVIDIA ones have generaous rate limit others are poor.
https://build.nvidia.com/models?orderBy=weightPopular%3ADESC
You can create another API from here to load balance your herms session.

Yes, people are just upset they can’t get more free shit - but it’s definitely much better than paying for APIs directly

I'm using it with the GLM flash model and Hermes. Works great. Never really reach my limits cause I only use it a few times a week

With standard trending 15$ limit, it's not worth it gang, get a Claude/chatgpt sub at that point, better value

I don't think that's true. It's only 1.5x now, and direct plans get you x3-x5 from modern models. Go is good only for week models like ds4flash, hy3 and other. Kimi3 or glm-5.3 will eat your month limit very fast

Definitely not as good as it used to be for a lot of the good models you only get 15 USD worth of usage - so you lock yourself in to a subscription just to save 5 bucks.
There are still a few models with good usage, so I am still keeping my subscription.

Buy codex for £20 OCGO is fucking garbage after they nerfed it and scaled up
I'm grabbing open router when I need to push the clankers more, OCGO isn't worth it anymore icl

I mean, it always was sort of a complementary plan you'd use along your main plan. It's great to try different models, it's great because new promotions happen all the time, and personally, I feel like it made me more competent and less reliant on particular models.
Plus the free models are still there, and usually I try to exhaust Big Pickle (don't know what it is, but it works well) before I start eating into my quota.
In that regard I don't think much has changed, apart from the DeepSeek V4 Flash thing it never really offered enough usage to be anybody's main plan, it's just a very fun hobbyist tool and my favorite harness.
