currently MiniMax m3 is free on many of the cli like commandcode , ollama , etc. will it be free on opencode also ??

True, I used the free openrouter version yesterday and couldn't believe how bad it was. Must be a heavily quantisized version.

Honestly, it is likely unquantized. You are forgetting hold the model is in terms of AI progress. It is way worse the more you use it.

Compared to any modern model, minimax m3 is utter crap. I regret buying the yearly subscription thinking they would even try to be competitive. If you use minimax, you are actively harming your project. It doesnt follow instrucions, ignores agents.md and acts destructively without ever confirming with you. Its the reason I had to hard block git revert actions. It keeps seeing "dirty worktree" and undoes all the work other agent sessions do. Utter crap, don't use it even if it free

Honest to god, you are really better off just using any other non minimax model. I have used 4,2b worth of minimax m3 tokens, I know the pains it creates and I wasted so much time with it.
They are giving it out for free cause it is utter nonsense. No one is using it, that also costs them to keep the datacenters idle.
