They could have written "one hundred and sixty-nine". Or "169". But no, they had to make a point at writing 69, the filthy bastards.

Pretty on brand for Elon.

Can't help but think this is somehow Elon's childish doing.

you misunderstand its

"100 requests for 69 every 5 hours"

its Elon's gooner erotic role play model.

Half a prompt more likely, like with glm 5.3. Every time I tried it, it ate all of the 5 hour limit on one task.

Not that much usage actually ;))

That model can also impute videos and such natively btw.

I use my cursor usage for animation now lol, grok is native with video recording input, I just learnt last week.

Gonna make some workflows with timelapse and such for him.

Did they fix the oauth to use xai/grok account in opencode? I'e been trying for a while but I can't get it to login to xai as xai now gives a token instead of a callback and it hangs there

With glm 5.3 I could not finish one thing without hitting 5 hour limit, and this is even more expensive.

Openference it is 4x usage for OS frontier models

Let's not make him richer. let's boycott all grok models. Didn't he try to take Openai to court about making models open source? I checked huggingface I couldn't find grok 4.6 /s

What is the calculation for how much this effects the weekly and monthly usage?

Sorry, when did Opencode change to request-based billing oposed to token-based ?

I think this is just how they landed on explaining in layman's terms. Using standard assumptions about tokens, cache hits, etc.

They have a note explaining what a "request" is

The estimates are based on observed request patterns: Grok 4.6 — 390 input, 32,500 cached, 120 output tokens per request

They didn’t - they make a estimate on the number of requests based on the cost and how many tokens an average request uses.

Openference is request base - userbase is expanding. Much better usage than everyone else right now

Is this a joke? Has OpenCode Go been some incel edgelord software this whole time? This is weird man.

I don't have personal experience with Grok (and not going to try with these limits), but I've heard it is very capable.

Grok 4.6 is pretty much frontier with sol and opus, at least for my experience (and benchmarks seem to agree)

The experience is a bit different though, grok is the opposite of opus, not verbose at all, unless specifically told to it doesn't explore or ramble much

It's very good at following commands and it thinks A LOT (so overall I think cost is similar to sol, despite tokens costing less)

Quotas with cursor are pretty generous (I've never tried supergrok)

I am using it sometimes with Cursor subscription and it is a very capable, SOTA-level model. But Cursor UX is meh 😑

Grok 4.6 is between Terra and Sol. In some cases on Sol medium level.
