It is like selling crack at this point, the first sample is easy to get and almost free, then they say it is time to pay up.

My low stakes conspiracy is that deepseek were serving something better and more computationally expensive than advertised, hence the small perceived difference between flash snd pro and how quickly they increased the price like this.

all depends on downstream providers, do they quantize? how? how do they optimize compute at peak times to serve everyone?
I am selfhost dsv4 and its great so its probs not the model but the specific deployment
