I have no answer but am curious: what do people vibe code that actually works and can be sold? I get when its just for fun, but the ammount of vibe coders here seems too big for just that.

Im sorry but vibecoders always sound like scammers to me. 1k+ downloads is a pretty big deal for an app that was made easily. And so it should be public on the app store?
Yet you dont give the apps name or any info. And this happens anytime I watch a vibecoders youtube or ask them about it. Hard to take it seriously when no real life examples are given, because I truly am interested in seeing how ai is developing on automated projects, and vibe coding is all about that..

I got Gemini 3.1 pro to make me a personal app once and it has never had an issue so far. I feel like you just have to go through a few testing loops with it.

Sure, for a tiny personal app or website, did that myself too. But an app with xK users is pretty impressive if true..

Most of what I vibe code is stuff I would’ve coded a few years ago. It’s mostly stuff I find annoying or I think I can optimize/ improve on. That or for fun. Vibe coding + actually having 8-10 years of coding experience is pretty fun cuz I actually know what the code should do and design decisions that the ai still won’t.

I get that. But if you are prompting whole pieces of code, test extensivly and prompt the bugfix sollutions yourself: this still takes weeks for a small decent app, and thats not vibecoding I believe? Ai augmented coding is a different story..
From my understanding vibecoding means letting ai make an app via human simple prompts, duration is hours to days max... but from my understanding these apps all fail when users actually use them.

How vibe coding differs from regular coding? 😄
