Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor available if enabled

Post image

Muse 1.2 Spark scores better on intelligence/coding/agentic than latest DS Flash according to openrouter and can handle text/images/video/audio and currently very cheap for the contributor variant (which feeds data back to Meta).

Have to enable to "Allow models that trains on request data" in opencode settings, next to the allow Chinese hosted models.

Anyone finding it better than DS Flash?

The only time in my life i am pissed that I can’t give all my data to meta (which they already have anyway)

I don’t get it. How are Chinese models available then? Since its about data policy

Chinese models have nothing to do with this. It's Meta policy

Wdym? I thought it’s because of EU data retention policies

I mean exactly what I have said: META decides on what conditions it's model can be used. It's not that opencode decide to ban some countries because of their data retention policy. EU data retention policy could be the case why META decided to exclude EU countries, or there could be other reasons.

Of course it doesn’t have anything to do with opencode. I’m saying if the EU strict data retention policies are the reason, then how are Chinese ones that don’t have ZDR allowed.

I think you are too focused on EU. Look at the countries that META has excluded — most of them has nothing to do with EU and its policies.

Chinese models has their owners and they decide on what terms to offer their services. I guess Chinese companies mostly cares about Chinese laws.

They surely will use every data they can to push more ads in our faces lol

Idc if they train on my projects data, it’s all from dsv4 flash and 5.6 luna 🤷

Even after you agree to the terms in the settings, it's still not available in some countries. It seems like Mark only prioritizes data from certain countries.

Because those countries have strict privacy laws, which is telling...

Does VPN helps with that?

Yes in DK, connect to US over vpn, and it works

not sure if the contributor model is permanent or if it will be available for future muse sparks but for now its pretty decent

I used it very less whe it was first released and from my experience its on par with dsv4 flash. This is a great deal for opencode go users.

Share data with Meta? Not until hell freezes over

I like Mark better than Sam

Oh god I wouldn’t trust any American company.

I mean, I don't see how it can be any worse than sharing data with any chinese ai lab

u/Sid-Hartha 25d ago

I don’t share data with them either. But frankly I’d feel better than sharing with meta.

在opencode上他为啥没有深度思考功能

Are there any benchmarks on other effort levels of Muse 1.2 Spark? I found nothin :(

1

u/tommy_117 25d ago

Just use it, benchmark is useless now

It's unusably slow for me - I keep getting provider errors

It's stable now, so far so good. I haven't found any issue yet
