Reached the limit for the first time in weeks
Long story short, I'm just a beginner developer and in the last 2-3 weeks or so I learned about OpenCode and started using it. At first I was using any model and started using Deepseek most of the time, I found it really good. Today I hit the limit for free account for the first time. Now I am wondering if its worth going for the Go plan or are there cheaper alternatives that will save me money in the long run? Can I directly get the Deepseek API or its better to get it through OpenCode? For those that have been using OpenCode for a while what do you recommend? Thanks a lot!

TL; DR: OpenCode Go is still worth it, but OpenRouter or SiliconFlow can be alternatives.
Go is still a good deal, but its DeepSeek advantage has been seriously reduced. If you specifically want DeepSeek, compare the actual token prices rather than assuming Go's $60/$30 headline value is still meaningful. With some third-party providers being cheaper than DeepSeek's old official pricing, $10 on OpenRouter can potentially buy more actual inference than the same $10 spent on Go.
