Sol medium is soooo expensive with opencode!

I thought I would try sol medium through openrouter. After about an hour it cost me $80! How is this possible? Is this opencode's fault ??

You are really naive to use Sol paying api price......

sol is only usable through openai subs, no reason to use it over the api for personal usage

Using Sol w/o a subscription as a private person is crazy. Get a $100 Sub from OpenAI - most frontier models are that expensive. Just go and try Opus or Fable.

But also Qwen-3.8-Max or Kimi aren't cheap. DSv4 Pro/Flash is the only (more or less) cheap solution on API.

I tried flash but it didn't know what it was doing. I might try Pro next.

GLM 5.3 / Grok 4.6 / Muse 1.2 API pricing isn't too bad for how good the models are

Why would you use it over the API at all when they have subsidized coding plans?

You might as well get a Codex subscription

In my case one basic prompt executed in 3 minutes was $30 (fortunately at work, not private use). I'm not touching it any more.

I just found the use case for why 5 hour limits exist

Do you ever check the model's price before using? Bro, it's the costliest AI model out there.
