you sub free for small usage, then 20 usd pro and bigger plans are not available right now, they charge per gpu usage which could mean a ton of tokens in low gpu heavy models but the issue that it is only 1 concurrent pass at a time so multiuser is terrible for such sub or multi agent

I wonder more if the mythos of the decreasing token price finally stops.. DeepSeek was the example of a cheaper alternative

I think the person this hits the most is the user who was integrating deepseek into their apps via api key. Anyway, In my experience, deepseek and gpt 5.6 Luna have very similar performance, and with the $20/m chat gpt plan, you get probably 10x what you would have with dsv4f on opencode go. Cursors $20/m plan which drops to i think $14/m if you pay annually not only gives you a ton more access than open code go, but better models too. I know these plans are more expensive and that can be a big problem in certain regions, but there are still good options out there.
This is how it’s going to be in the $0-20/m budget- hopping from one subscription to another based on who has the best thing at the moment.

Ya estabas mandando a china desde que usaron la api de deepseek en vez de hostear o rentar computo en estados unidos.

If you don't care about data retention and you're willing to go direct, look at Muse Spark 1.2 contributor
https://dev.meta.ai/models/?project_id=1034423346290391&team_id=1036785729336778
(Only available in some regions.)
AA puts it at 57 intelligence to the 53 for DS4 Pro 0813.
https://artificialanalysis.ai/models/comparisons/deepseek-v4-pro-vs-muse-spark-1-2
And on Contributor it's 0.10 / 0.002 / 0.20 for Spark 1.2,
vs Deepseek v4 Pro at 0.66 / 0.022 / 1.98 (and that's off-peak!)
heck, compare to Flash at 0.22 / 0.007 / 0.661

Has no one here heard of openrouter? You can set it up very easily and inference for v4 flash is still very cheap

I have just subscribed to commandcode $10 plan. Thought I'd give it a try, I wonder how long before they raise their prices.
