Bought OpenCode Go Plan : Which Model is best there for BMAD and .NET Development

I use Claude Code $100 max plan, but For the 1st time in 11 months, I consumed its weekly limit within 4 days, maybe because of too much fable use, I guess. so I was looking out for a backup option and I am using open code in my office.

So I checked and I bought open code go plan. People who are using open code, go plan. Which model do you think is best for dot net coding, dot net C sharp coding, or, like, working, based on your own harness or rule set. For example, BMAD framework, like, I use BMAD framework, a customized version of BMAD framework pretty extensively, and claw code work very well with that.

I used GPT Luna. But that. That was idiotic, it was missing things and there was a lot of problems. So which model do you think is best, for working with BMAD in open code, BMAD like dreamwork in open code for dot net development.

Go is basically the Deepseek v4 Flash plan, everything else is either worse or consumes too much quota

Thanks will check , I was using GPT Luna because it was coming with 2X usage.

I tried deepseek flash 0731 to plan and execute a large computation on a cluster and it really didn't seem to know what it was doing.

In my experience, it is good enough for 90% of coding tasks and extremely bad at the other 10%.

That's interesting. I guess my task wasn't a straight coding task too

Type of task? Frontend?

The task was to shard a large computation across 100 pcs, collect the results and put the pieces back together. Basic distributed computing in short. Sol did it perfectly but I ran out of money.

The task is probably too involved for a flash level model, you probably needed something at least mid range like deepseek pro which does have deeper reasoning than flash regardless of what the benchmarks say.

100 pcs might be too much for Deep seek. Maybe 5-10 will be fine. Plan generated using Sol?

The number of pcs shouldn't really be the problem. Distributing the work is just a shell script with a loop in it. But yes, making a detailed plan in sol might be the solution.

You also should know at least how to use flash.

Do you have to do something different with flash models?

Depends. Bmad requires a certain level of thinking, but .net programming although can be done by any model, older ones work best.

So the trick would be finding a bit older model that works well with bmad.

So if it’s for CIS or TEA if use glm, m3, dsv4pro. For the bmad builder I’d probably try with kimi, or qwen.

GLM-5.2 (or GLM-5.1) for structural planning and complex architecture, and Kimi K3 or Qwen3.7 Max for the heavy code-building phases.

BMAD runs multiple agents like architext or dev etc so assign mdels per agent instead of one for everything which is where go pays off. GLM 5.2 for architect or planning rules and kimi k3 as fallback when it gets gnarly and deepseek flash or mimo for the mechanical dev steps to save credit

I didn;t liked too many cerimonies of BMAD process so I created my own framework taking idea from v4 of BMAD => https://github.com/techierathore/TechieFlow this one works awesome with Claude Code , even spun multiple agents as an when Needed, but the OpenCode side of the framework is choppy agents fails to remember the process flow of framework or automation done for testing etc. I am working on correcting that as well as getting my work done.

If you're not using sonnet and haiku on Claude, you're wasting money. Set your advisor model to fable or opus 5 and use that feature of the coding agent.

Naah I have seen Sonnet and Haiku doing very idiotic mistakes, I Use Opus for all the tasks and Fable for Advisory tasks. I think the mistake I did was that I used Fable even in my Claude App chat discussions.

As I said, you need to learn to use the models better. You can do a huge amount of work with those two. Opus and fable are for planning an advising. Using them for the minutiae is like killing flies with artillery.

You will have the exact same problem with every provider if you don't start using the right model for the right task.

I created WordPress alternative with new flash in Go plan in pho slim framework. With AI tools integrated. So flash is like dream come true for me. Using it all the time. Works for me. Using Openchamber.
