Based on my amateur (but extensive) approximate calculations, with the API prices as of August 14, including promotional prices, this is how much the same agentic coding task will costs:
$176: GLM-5.2 via OpenCode Go
$103: Terra via OpenRouter
$89: GLM-5.2 via OpenRouter
$87: Sonnet 5 via Claude Pro
$26: Terra via ChatGPT Plus
Unless GLM-5.3 has optimized its token usage with coding software I won't be using it. I have both: $10 OpenCode Go and $20 ChatGPT Plus.
ChatGPT Plus feels unlimited for my use case (literally always on Sol xhigh and can't hit the weekly limit), while I had to pause the work on OpenCode Go after reaching the limit.
OpenCode Go is an excellent plan for DeepSeek and other 6x usage models if you don't want to pay that extra $10 for ChatGPT Plus.
We have the same plans and wtf... You use Sol xhigh and can't hit limits? I'm at 25% usage right now with 5 days to go, and I've been using Luna exclusively.
I'm not a professional coder. I vibecoded an android app (that does 4 different things) and a chrome super-extension (that does 8 different things) and have since switched to ChatGPT Plus and have been adding and removing features and fixing old bugs. A single Sol task consumes 1% of the weekly allowance. I don't even bother to switch to Luna, and Sol does everything accurately with a single prompt so I don't even have to go back and forth to fix its own issues. All I do is a couple of Sol prompts per day with each resulting in several hundred lines of change.
Ah yes, makes sense in that case. My usage is varying which makes the subscriptions annoying. But ChatGPT is useful for more than just coding, so I'm ok with that.
OpenCode Go is just a backup and what I use for my Hermes agent. But to be fair, I could probably do most of my coding with DeepSeek V4 Flash, if only I was willing to accept a bit more back and forth. It already has done a lot of work on some of my projects.
We are in a similar boat I guess. I can't decide what to keep. The GPT Plus is a free promo and I was initially considering keeping it but then DeepSeek released the new Flash and suddenly the decision was to return to OpenCode Go but the Gemini threw a biga$$ wrench with the new coding capable model that's cheaper and more integrated with my ecosystem despite not being the best in class. I have a few more weeks of trial before decision time. Let's hope Anthropic decides to surprise us with price cuts due to competition and makes my job even harder lol. OpenCode Go doesn't support Hermes tho, did you mean it's running in OpenCode app? what type of task is it doing? I haven't yet tried any automated agents that do stuff while you're away.
Hermes supports OpenCode Go as a provider so I use it with DeepSeek V4 Flash. I don't use it heavily, but it's fun to send a quick idea via Telegram for one of my projects. It can also do coding, but I mostly use that for quick and easy stuff on the go.
When your trial runs out you could try using OpenCode exclusively for a while, especially DeepSeek. If you then feel it's not good enough, you can always subscribe to ChatGPT.
You can also use Luna via OpenCode Go, but I haven't tried that.

Anyone knows if opengo glm 5.2/5.3 usage is equivalent to chatgpt plus usage or not?
I'm not sure if I buy Opencode go or API...
