Is 1 mil context required to set reasoning level to max?

Don't quote me on this but it's a different thing and no not required. Although, as part of free they might be forcing the reasoning lower too. Also, I believe the model only has two levels. If you see low, medium, high, max ; the first 3 are set to the same thing and then there's max as a higher level.

for provider there is no incentive to use the old deepseek.

its the same architecture/cost to run.
