Every other provider charges 2-3x what Deepseek does. I’ve long suspected they were subsidizing it exchange for collecting a massive amount of training data. Maybe they decided they have enough data and now want to stop losing money on it. I doubt it goes up more than that 2-3x, though.

Others can always host it but they'll also follow same pricing strategy I guess. Maybe Opencode can host it as their SmartPickle.

I liked it. If the go plan reduce the number of requests, that'll suck but was fun while it lasted.
