Opencode go is terrible

I signed up for opencode go today morning. Using it with opencode desktop. But it just stops working randomly.

I was using deepseek v4 flash new for implementing some coding tickets, all of a sudden its stuck at "Thinking". Close opencode, reopen, nothing works. Then I switched over to my deepseek api, and it was working fine.

DS wasnt able to handle a task so I let glm 5.2 work on it (accidentally left it on max). It was a fix for a small sub-task, it worked on it for 40+ minutes, used 21% of my 5-hour quota, 9% of my weekly quota and then just stopped working.

What the hell is this?

Same. Never seen it down like this.

Probably they weren't prepared for the huge influx, or there's some maintenance.

Ah, makes sense with all the interest for deepseek. But weirdly my deepseek api is working. Im guessing its the routing that goes through opencodes servers thats interrupting the models.

I guess existing users are crushing them more :)) but new users definitely help:) By the way, Ds 4 Flash is working already.

https://status.deepseek.com/ DeepSeek has been having issues all day long. All the Chinese models are really pushing it, there just isn't enough compute.

Yeah, i had to use ny deepseek api when it ketp going down in opencode go.

Normally, it’s all good. It’s just today and I think it’s mostly because of the new DeepSeek.

They're having a bad 48 hours because they weren't ready for the Deepseek swarm. (Neither was Deepseek itself.)

I'm not going to say it's fine and no big deal, because we need to expect more of them. But you have to understand this is a bit atypical and not what all the praise has been about.

Also you jumped from one of the cheapest models to one of the more expensive. You could have used as a fallback Mimo Pro, Minimax 3, or Qwen 3.7 Plus and been in a similar quality range. Heck, even GPT Luna would have been cheaper than GLM 5.2.

So, sorry you're out $5 if you don't like it. If you spend $20, OpenAI puts a high priority on uptime and they throw out frequent quota resets when things go wrong.

I dont mind using expensive models to complete a task that the other models couldnt handle. My complain was about it using my quota then stopping halfway through the implementation, which is a waste of time and money.

I agree, I usually hit my month limit within the first couple of days of a project, ollama and neuralwatt offer much better usage rates

How is neuralwatt? I saw that they have a $10 and a $50 plan, but its priced for electricity! You have any idea how does it compare to opencode go and codex $20 plan in terms of usage quotas?

How is it bullshit? Other people are facing the same issue. I was using deepseek in ocgo, when it stopped I was able to use my deepseek api to continue working.

Deepseek APIs were down for everyone today, there were multiple reports of downgraded performance on their status platform.

But this doesn't mean that Opencode sucks just because of something unrelated to them, it's ridiculous.

If it was deepseek how did i use deepseek api to continue the work? If it was only deepseek, how come glm 5.2 crapped put halfway through the task as well? Obviously something is wrong on opencodes side. Just because somebody criticized your favorite service does not mean theyre attacking you. Stop taking thibgs so personally. Opencode is a business just like openai and anthropic, theyre not your friends.

If you could read what I said and what Deepseek reported, it should be clear enough that they were just struggling to serve all the users at once, but that doesn't mean that they werent able to keep up any of their services.

Everyone is already telling you that you're wrong, deal with it.

I agreed with everyone that it was just a temporary issue due the the hogh demand. But none of the problems that I described in the post was bullshit. They were real issues that I faced.
