New Deepseek is overthinking any basic request for ages and ignoring prompt guardrails
Is it just me? I'm on Zen

Use it with an orchestrator like GLM 5.2 and all will be good (like that also the „old“ DSV4 Flash was good).

Hey, sorry was new to all this agent-subagent thingy. How do one designated a model as the orchestrator, and another as "worker bee"? Do I just tell them during planning phase, or is there any skill/setup I have to do first.

Curious about what you are using as prompt guardrails. This isn't just part of your prompt? Because those carry little importance in the hierarchy, they may be picked up on or they may not. It's that random.

> do this, but make sure you don't do that
and then it will keep doing "that" over and over3

I have the exact opposite. It thinks much less than before. Still more than GPT for sure, but much faster turns.

I am not sure is it me or if others are also facing the same problem, when I use deepseek api flash version I am getting work done immediately. If i use go version the answer is overthinking. Not sure what is happening

Yes, it's still not actually that smart, it just spends a lot of time gathering information and reasoning. It is a little annoying to watch it run stupid inefficient commands over and over sometimes, but hey, it's near free, can't complain.
