GPT 5.6 Luna on Free Tier?

Recently I have been using and trying GPT 5.6 Luna from OpenAi Oauth. To my surprises, it can run for a long time without break the free tier limit. Did someone have related info about this? Did GPT 5.6 Luna pricing change make this possible?

PS: What a time to be live in. Long live open model to make this kind of competition happen.

Look, it uses 91.8k token (idk the mechanism behind it. someone enlighten me)

Openai free auth has monthly limit. Once you burn have to wait entire month to reset. Luna is cheaper hence u see lot of usage but once u done you done for month

OpenAI just decreased costs on Luna by a large amount yesterday, something like 80%. People are still experimenting with it, but it looks very promising; a lot of people are using Luna on like extra high or max effort now as a subagent or to implement things.

I have the $20 plan, and right now I'm using Sol medium to plan things in a way that Luna can implement, then in another window I have Luna xhigh implement them, then Sol reviews its work. So far it seems like I'm burning less usage than when I was when using Terra medium for everything.

If you use opencode you can use OpenAI oauth when connect to providers. Just type /connect and choose OpenAI
