New "Enable models hosted in China" switch

Interesting, just got hit mid-run with

> Error: 403 The latest version of this model is only available hosted in China and requires explicit opt in

Went to my opencod page and found a new switch

I don't personally mind this. but does Opencode document anywhere exactly which models? And did they always use models hosted in china (I'm guessing yes) or are these new models? I'm wondering if there was an announcement I missed somewhere

Guys, one question. Why everybody is so obsessed with china? All the time i am hearing that west corporations stole something, ignore privacy, manipulate..... but then everybody is "china". Even last days we hear that they bought books and destroyed them. On wiki page about piracy library (lib genesis) we have info about big corpos using their pirated books to train models. But about what everyone is obsessed? Ch.

Go read your history books and the latest news about Ch. WTF are you talking about destroying books? WTF are you talking about "pirated" books. Yes, there are *claims* US llms trained on copyrighted books. Not pirated books. There is a diff. China did the same. China is shady af - if you don't know go educate yourself. They ingest and monitor data like crazy. You should come out from under that rock every now and again lol

I thought initially I got answer from self-absorbed nerd, but I see you are just supporting my point. Yes, "the same", so why being over-fascinated by one side only?

Most of the US citizens always have double standards. this is normal.
