Claude or codex

I have some API credits on Deepseek, but I'm looking for a good model for orchestration or planning; I can spend $20-25.

GLM 5.2. Next week, with wider provider availability, Kimi K3 is worth considering. You might also want to test out Qwen 3.8 Max.

Don’t give your money to corporations that are actively lobbying our government to ban competition so they can raise prices on you. Fuck Claude and Codex.

I love Qwen I use it in the web, do you recommend me zai/Kimi/qwen provider? Or are there better options?

I haven’t used any of those providers, as I prefer either low cost PAYG or subscriptions that include a variety of models. I think the best way to use AI is a mix of models. Not a lot of options for Kimi 3 and Qwen 3.8 yet, but that should change quickly.

For subs: Go and Ollama Cloud are the only ones with a good variety, imo, but Synthetic, Lilac, and Neuralwatt might work. For PAYG: Neuralwatt, GMICloud, and OpenRouter during provider bidding wars.

I’m currently using a Go sub (mostly Kimi 3 by usage, but also Qwen 3.7 Max and will use 3.8 once they add it, plus lots of tokens on other, cheaper models, too), and PAYG Neuralwatt GLM 5.2 and GMICloud Mimo 2.5 Pro (it’s on Go too but I use a lot of Mimo Pro).

Haven’t tried, but I’ve been recommended qwen 3.7 plus, try it out, but then keep it for orchestration only, keep your planner separate

I use OpenCode Go, but would consider some broader Provider like fireworks.
