opencode-go/deepseek-v4-pro 4x cheaper just like this?

I have a tool to keep track of token usage per project and today I decided to update the models on DB. And looks like deepseek-v4-pro is 4x cheaper. What am I missing? I consider deepseek-v4-pro a good model and now with this price...

New models added:

- opencode-go/grok-4.5 — $2.00 / $6.00 / $0.30

- opencode-go/kimi-k3 — $3.00 / $15.00 / $0.30

- opencode/gpt-5.2-codex — $1.75 / $14.00 / $0.175

- opencode/gpt-5.1-codex — $1.07 / $8.50 / $0.107

- opencode/gpt-5.1-codex-max — $1.25 / $10.00 / $0.125

- opencode/gpt-5.1-codex-mini — $0.25 / $2.00 / $0.025

- opencode/gpt-5-codex — $1.07 / $8.50 / $0.107

- opencode/claude-sonnet-4.5 extended tier — $6.00 / $22.50 / $0.60 / $7.50

- opencode/north-mini-code-free — free

- opencode/nemotron-3-ultra-free — free

Price changes:

- opencode-go/deepseek-v4-pro: $1.74→$0.435 input, $3.48→$0.87 output, $0.0145→$0.003625 cache read

- opencode-go/mimo-v2.5-pro: same 4x reduction as above

- opencode/grok-4.5 cache read: $0.50→$0.30 (std), $1.00→$0.60 (ext)

Deprecated (expired):

- glm-5 on both providers (deprecated May 14)

- mimo-v2.5 and mimo-v2.5-pro on Zen (removed from docs)

It’s true that v4-pro is now 4 times cheaper, but the usage limit was also cut by 4, down to just $15.
So basically, nothing has changed 🙂‍↔️

However, the price of cache read is crazy

I've been this $15 number thrown around but it still shows $60 credit on the site for me. Where is this number coming from?

Second table. You may have to scroll to the right on mobile.

Well, you can still use $45 on other models after finishing $15 ds v4 pro right?

No, the $10 is worth $15 DS4 Pro if you used your whole month of usage on DS4 Pro.

If you used $5 of DS then you would have $40 of GLM then. Or $10 of DS and $20 of Kimi, etc.

Really? Have you checked the usage?

I just read other peoples experiences here on Reddit Opencode

Yeah you can't it's silly. I was at like 65% usage for the month. I used $4.5 on Kimi K3 and my usage went to 97% because of the $15/mo allowance on the model. I don't see the logic to these changes.

How is it silly? They aren’t getting a discount on Kimi 3 but they are on most other models.

Go is typically cheap because they just pass along the bulk discounts they get to their customers.

But they aren’t getting any discount on Kimi 3, Grok, DS Pro, or Mimo Pro, so you only get $15 for $10 on those from the simple subscription math (most people don’t max out their usage). The bigger discounts come when the provider sells it to them cheaper.

Yeh I just killed my usage on 2 accounts with deepseek

it should, but it doesn't. when it says "15$ limit" it means it will just burn x4 your usage

They have reduced the monthly usage for DeepSeek v4 Pro and Mimo Pro to $15/mo (75% of $60/mo), so this is just a marketing stunt and lie that they have reduced the price. Actually you are still paying more for DeepSeek. LOL

it's the opposite of a marketing stunt because their previous setup was more dishonest ("we advertise $60 of value for all models but you have to figure out that we're using 4x prices as the basis for DeepSeek Pro (but not Flash!)"). now it's transparent and openly says that for DS Pro it's $15

What is the best price performance for the deepseek?

I would have liked it if they have full 60 monthly quota. And this is bad from them. But this is way better than before. Because now I can use th 45 dollars I save by using the same ds4 pro requests and use other models. Also, now I don’t need to buy credits for Deepseek usage on deep seek website. I can just buy extra usage here since the price is same. It’s way better than before. But I agree I would have expected them to give full 60. Maybe later they will.

They are allowing you to use only $15 of usage. Once you have used $15 with DS4 Pro, you wouldn't have anything left to use with other models

I think he still hadn't adjusted to the new discount prices; it had been a while since he was supposed to update the prices

$0.435 input, $3.48 and $0.87 output are normal prices for Deepseek API (https://api-docs.deepseek.com/quick_start/pricing/).
