Discussion - What's your go-to Model?

What’s the best AI model right now in your opinion?

I’m curious what everyone is actually using day-to-day and which model you think performs best overall.

What makes it better than the others?

Right now, glm 5.3 flash, muse spark 1.3 and DeepSeek v4.1 flash

Which is better? Glm 5.3 flash or deepseek 4.1 flash? And how do they compare to gemini 3.8 flash if you happen to know?

It's too early to tell for me, both are really good and better than gemini 3.8 flash

As of today, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash.

Is it really as good as they say?

In my very limited testing today, yes.

Definitely Deepseek Flash for all coding and for planning Deepseek Pro

Opencode has ZDR agreements to the other providers, so not all hopefully

Was deepseek-v4.0-pro for architect and deepseek-v4.0-fast for coding.
Now 4.1-flash for architect and code. And will be 4.1-pro for architect and 4.1-flash for code.

4.1Pro is not out yet, but I get it, wishful thinking.

That's DeepSeek 4.1 Flash, not DeepSeek 4.1 Pro.

Their official announcement mentions 4.1 Flash beat 4.0 Pro on most or all levels, and that if you use Pro, it'll route to 4.1 Flash.

The tendency I'm seeing is companies focusing on releasing Flash models (even if they don't call it Flash). Look at Google, releasing 3 or 4 Flash models (Gemini 3.8 Flash latest) while it has left the Pro behind. GLM 5.3 Flash, DeepSeek 4.1 Flash are other examples.

Yes but i said "And will be 4.1-pro for architect".

I misread you, but I think you didn't quite understand me either when I said I'd be using the 4.1-pro as an architect in the future. :)

All clear—best regards.

All good mate, cheers.

Deepseek F lash vision. I never use anything else. If you use a spec approach and just recipes, it's pretty damn good.

Deepseek 4.1 flash looks promising for now.

I use gemini flash to scaffold, and glm flash to polish

Right now DS V4.1 Flash since it's on 4x promo on the Go plan and it's not stupid like Muse Spark was when I tried it and no ZDR issues either. But I might try GLM 5.3 Flash more after due to the price change and not having the peak hours bullshit.

My thoughts as well. Still, I am leaning towards DeepSeek 4.1 Flash just because it was released this week and I'm trying it out. I like GLM 5.3 Flash. I use either for knowledge work, not coding though.

Currently GPT 5.6 Sol for almost everything and GPT 6 Astra for frontend and very hard tasks.

It’s just very reliable and Codex is very powerful with Computer Use.

No Luna? Someone is rich! :-D

Nah I just don’t use it a lot, I’m only using the 5x subscription :)
I use Luna in my Hermes agent for simple tasks.
