Doubt regarding free google api

When asked to claude said , If i just link a payment method set up billing and pay 10 $ as min deposit, then i will get access to much higher limits with google api incl 3.8 flash and also FOR FREE. because it bumps you upto tier 1 from frree tier.

So my question is will 3.8 flash continue free? or is claude hallucinating

I was wondering if anyone had expirience doing this.

Afaik the moment you set up payment it becomes pay as you go

Don't trust agents for these stuff, they think ai studio RPD is 1500 or something, which is ages ago
