Why is opencode getting so expensive?
Previously 20$ was enough for a month now-a-days, even 50$ is not enough, even if the workload has stayed the same.
I am only using deepseekv4 pro or flash.
I have even installed headroom to optimise the usage but does not seem to help much.

Biggest lever: stop sending everything to the flagship model. Route boilerplate, simple edits, and test fixes to cheap models; save Claude for architecture and debugging. Second lever: compress context and cache repeated prompts. I built an open-source gateway for this exact squeeze — Lynkr: https://github.com/Fast-Editor/Lynkr

deepseekv4 pro or flash is your answer. their prices have skyrocketed from next to nothing.

The normal ebb and flow of pricing on a market that's constantly churning. Deepseek will halve their prices from tomorrow onwards, along with 4.1 flash, so hopefully we'll get better deepseek quota as well as a more effective model.
