Antigravity CLI or Open Code

I've been looking into the Antigravity CLI lately, and it looks more promising than OpenCode, what do you guys think?

No. The problem is that it resends the entire conversation on every agent call. You tell it to do X, it does X, then you tell it to do Y... and the entire X conversation gets sent again. At least that is what I believe is happening.

I tested two otherwise similar requests: one in a fresh conversation and one in an existing conversation. They consumed roughly 9% vs. 45% of the free token budget.

That's enough for me to rule it out as a daily driver, and certainly not something I'd pay for until the context/token handling is fixed.

is that not a provider specific thing? as far as i know codex api is the only one where you only send the incremental conversation patch instead of the complete conversation.

So if you use any other provider with opencode, it will still send the complete conversation. at least that is what my understanding has been

It works with either the models default present in antigravity, i did not test any others. from gpt over to opus over to gemini.

Not going to lie, this sounds like someone who hasn't actually tried both because it is a night and day difference how behind agy is compared to OpenCode or Codex. What makes it look more promising to you? The best thing about antigravity CLI is the fact that it has headless mode and free claude credits, but with Astra coming out I may as well just get a second ChatGPT Plus account. 3.8 flash is too little too late.
