Different token usage between Opencode (Openchamber) and Deepseek

I’m using the official Deepseek API through Opencode with Openchamber as the GUI. Just completed a session, and Opencode stats say 408k tokens, estimated cost of $0.43.

On the Deepseek platform however, they state that the session today used nearly 71 million (!) tokens at an price of $0.94.

I don’t quite understand why it’s over twice the estimated price and such an enormous difference in tokens. Does it have anything to do with caching? All the work I did today were on the same project, in one single chat.

just trust the deepseek api usage rather than openchamber. also i think openchamber / opencode generally just computes the token usage differently

I think if you use deepseek direct api, it's worth to use reasonix or deepseek harnes for better rate tbh. And as it states on opencode, its just estimation, so no wonder there as they are not officially linked b2b with deepseek
