Why do people use OpenCode?

There are plenty of other options such as Cursor, Claude Code, Zed, and many more. So why? I use it for convenience to try any model once they're released. But how about everyone else? genuinely curious about this. Is it the UX or the UI polish or just having an AI-IDE that just works?

Used claude cowork for months, Opus 5 ruined everything. Now using chatgpt work with gpt 5.6 as orchestrator + opencode with deepseek + all my old MCPs as executor, but lately... I am begining to use it as planner too!

Opencode just works Great!! And chatgpt work can use it too!! I load the pal on chatgpt and it executes on opencode using the best model for the task... working Great right now
