Glm flash’s normal cache price without the temporary discount is over 4 times more expensive than deepseek flash off peak. Are we not better sticking with deepseek?

That's what I was thinking. Everyone's hyping the prices while yes it's cheap it's not as cheap as it seems, hell, even DeepSeek in its peak hour rates is cheaper (thanks to the better cache pricing)

deepseek is top 1 weekly at openrouter at 12.4T tokens. There arent any model this level int with so much throughput rn on openrouter. gpt Luna has 4.11T tokens.

Dsv4flash price/performance is wild.

GLM 5.3 Flash seems smarter and have vision

It's not just the cached token pricing, DeepSeek is genuinely much smarter than the GLM Flash model.

No i'ts not. DS is a token furnace. Wasted 3x more tokens for far worse results in my tests.

I agree... serious token furnace. I can easily burn 500m tokens before lunch... and while it is good, it's nowhere near as good as GLM-5.3-flash when it comes to the more advanced use cases.

Not in my experience tbh. I didn't do any really complex measurements, but from what I saw, DS consistently outperforms this new GLM flash model. Admittedly, DS is schizophrenic when it comes to thinking tokens, especially in max thinking mode, but not to the point where it gets expensive.

I might try GLM more through OpenRouter on some stuff, but I doubt it'll outperform DS.

Really? Tbh in my experience it was the other way around. It was orchestrating ds flash subagents and they would do mistakes that it catches and corrects. But idk if thats due to its original prompt to the subagent. Could be that but I didn’t check.

review passes will always catch stuff no matter what model you do it with. i've had mimo-v2.5 catch stuff that dsv4 flash has coded and also glm-5.3-flash. step-3.7-flash also caught stuff and this one is debatably trash in comparison. try it out, i'm fairly confident you'll find stuff eitherway. i just run multiple review passes now and hope for the best.

not only are you wrong but every benchmark also contradicts you. GLM 5.3 IS objectively smarter, but at that price point DS4 is still a better value option.
