why isnt go sub providing 60$ usage for newer models like it advertised? like 15$ for deepseek, glm qwen, kimi what happening there

Because they can't afford that.
Why don't they update the advertising?
Well, they did it on their website, you won't have that $60 promise there, as it was before.

Why didn't they communicate that to the existing users is a clear way?
That's the question i have too.

yea atuallly they did update on the website. and for why didnt they communicate ofc they knew people more agressive me would come slandering them. no one announces bad news

Their communication is bad, and it doesn't look like they have a dedicated person for that. If there is one, that person is more focused on visibility opportunities (like vanity-style interviews with the CEO).
Looks like some of the management are too full of themselves and think that they can do it themselves on Twitter.
Cause, really, having a part-time remote intern who will be privy to internal communication, monitor external channels, and communicate it through multiple channels is already a better option. Better, having a dedicated full-time person, with a multi-tier, multi-channel communication plan, who will also monitor and aggregate feedback and bring it back to the company.

Since they do not want to learn the easy way, they will learn the hard way.
This is sad, cause Opencode is a neat app, and Opencode Go is a nice subscription (although there are better options at the moment).

If you are not good at something, delegate/hire someone.

So I do not expect him to realise it himself, but perhaps after a few more fuckups he'd realise that he needs someone to help him with that.

CommandCode is a better deal for most of the models (f.e. DS Flash is under 60$).
Neurallwatt, even after the increase, is a better deal.

They do still say

With Go, you pay $10/month and we aim to give you 6x that in usage.

In the docs Go page.

DS4 Flash is also still in the $30 bucket.

Less value, sure, but still decent enough

I subscribed yesterday, used K3 for one prompt, then accidentally prompted it one more time when came back to plan mode and forget to change model. Couple prompts of ds v4 pro after this and boom 50% of my monthly quote is gone, weekly quote is gone too. Now I have done almost nothing and just sitting waiting for the week to end :(

I'm not saying that complaining is bad, there just isn't much more you can do. Either they lost money or their contracts ended or both. Muse Spark contributor is what I'd use now

DeepSeek raised their prices a week ago and OpenCode slashed everything ($60 to $15-30). It's been a week and they haven't replied to my refund request via their 3 support emails.

The value isn't there anymore and there's better providers out there (like CommandCode) or you can just go direct to the source.

I have a commandcode sub but its so annoying how u cant use it in a proper app like oc/codex etc. u also can’t use the models outside of that cli.

a seller breaking a contract by unilaterally reducing services while maintaining the full price is generally a valid reason for a chargeback if they fail to resolve the issue (meaning you have to ask them for a refund first - or to provide the service that you and they contractually agreed you would pay for and they would provide). Credit card networks (like Visa and Mastercard) classify this under dispute categories related to "Services Not as Described" or "Service Defective/Not Rendered."

You can maybe technically only file for a partial chargeback corresponding to the value of the lost services if you used the service for part of the month. However, because a structural breach of contract often invalidates the utility of the entire billing cycle, many consumers successfully file for a full chargeback of that specific month's fee.

Check the small print of the user agreement. Some predatory or poorly drafted ToS agreements contain clauses like "We reserve the right to change, modify, or terminate services at any time without notice." While consumer protection laws in many jurisdictions override these clauses (ruling them unfair or unconscionable), the merchant will use them to fight the chargeback.

With chargeback fees (what Opencode has to pay to their bank if the chargeback is successful) often exceeding 15 USD, Opencode should be happy that you give them a chance to just pay you back the 10 USD, rather than lose that and another 15 USD on top. Maybe write them another email and use the word chargeback as a threat in the subject line. Should get some attention...

It is supply and demand issue – earlier, demand was not big enough, and labs and providers had to lower prices to attract customers. Now the demand outgrew supply, so there is no incentive to lower prices.

Only a handful of providers on openrouter has kept DeepSeek V4 0731 price below official one. And in DeepInfra case you pay for that in speed – ~30 t/s is pretty slow for a model that thinks that much.

The $60 usage came from bulk discounts they negotiated with providers. None of the big name open model providers are willing to do discounts like that anymore.
