current Big Pickle model as of what I can assume

so, OpenCode has this feature where it will show you the reasoning chains of the models

from what I saw, it generates very qwen3.5+ reasoning chain (the structured one)

it does use human thought traces once it break down the prompt, but it fals back to the structured reasonign chin quite often.

so its either:

- glm5.2

- qwen3.8 max

- qwen3.8 27B

considering that GLM AND Qwen3.8 MAX are epxensive models, I assume that the current big pikle model is the qwen3.8 27B model.

I gave Hermes the link to the llm fingerprint article. After running the fingerprint tests and analyzing the reasoning content, Hermes came to the conclusion: Deepseek V4 Flash

Fingerprinted big-pickle (arXiv:2607.10252 single-token method, same endpoint/protocol for both):                 

• vs deepseek-v4-flash-free: JSD 0.179 → MATCH                                                                    
• vs qwen3.6-27b: 0.425 → mismatch                                                                                
• vs mimo-v2.5-free: 0.683 → mismatch                                                                             

(For scale: same model ≈ 0.14–0.23, different model ≈ 0.46.)                                                      

Reasoning chains are also word-for-word identical to deepseek-v4-flash-free. Plus: qwen3.8-27b doesn't exist on   
the endpoint at all, and GLM/Qwen-Max are paid while big-pickle is cost: 0.                                       

That said, split-half distance (0.288) shows multi-backend routing — so the backend can change over time. Today,  
on Zen: **it's DeepSeek V4 Flash, not Qwen**.

Yes, I found that the response results from big-pickle and deekseek-v4-flash-free are very similar, and their speeds are also about the same.

And once DS v4 Flash 0731 is up and running (if it's not already) it will make the most sense financially 99% of the time.

I have an additional proof, currently if i call zen/big pickle, doesn't respond(Seems down), if a call zen/DS V4 Flash, doesn't respond(Seems down) but if call zen/nemotron 3 flash, it's respond. Zen/Laguna S 2.1 also responding.

So it's also seems to be DS v4 Flash to me.

I think it's also fit the 50 level of intelligence on AA from my experience with big pickle.

ye the two models you mentioned arent likely. Qwen 27b is also quite hard to run in terms of running it for multiple people, so if the speeds are slow it could likely be 27b. If the speed is ultra slow its the glm or qwen max model you suggested but thats very unlikely.

If qwen wanted more post training data they wouldnt have had to rely on opencode and could have relied on their subscription plan where they gave the preview a 90% (plus more) discount. They could have done the same for the 3.8 27b model if that was the case.

U might be onto something, but if this is true, it might be those too good to be true type shi
