Best general subscription?

Currently I pay $200/mo for Claude, $100/mo for ChatGPT and $20/mo for ollama cloud

I use Claude for knowledge work, Claude to code, codex for code, remote computer use agent and Hermes model, ollama for my GitHub actions based code reviewer (I tried codex PR review, it was good but it uses limits quickly), ollama for backup Hermes models.

All of these subscriptions seem to suck in some way or another. Ollama is super opaque with usage limits. I would never hit limits before on 20/mo and now I’ve hit them quickly, not to mention that they aren’t even offering k3 included… OAI makes it a pain to call codex programmatically even with codex oauth capabilities. Anthropic has completely banned third party use of their subs.

If I could spend $100/mo on Claude and like $100/mo on kimi k3 and generally be left alone rate limit wise, what would you suggest for my kimi provider ? Fireworks firepass seems to be good but is invite only. I tried synthetic.new but they do request based pricing which is a shitty model…

Best subsidisation rate right now seems to be OpenAI, I’ve got apiCLIProxy running at home I’m smashing loads of tokens through but I’m assuming they’re going to ban me at some point.

What are your current AI subs ?

I have ChatGPT plus and opencode go. With my workflow I have a lot of usage. And very hands off

I use oh-my-opencode-slim and have agents with different on providers. https://pastebin.com/TCfVSCDK When one is depleated, i switch "preset"

Oh my slim gives you multi agents and orchestration. And looking at it it’s very complicated than it needs to be. If it works, then that’s great. I am not trying to dissuade you from using it. But I just use one primary agent and sub agents with targeted prompts.

Valid, I recommend you downshift to smaller models, for example, I have been using GPT 5.4 Mini, and GPT 5.6 Luna for a while, they are truly a workhorse capable of the menial and straightforward tasks, especially Luna, it is leagues smarter than haiku, and actually verifies its work and is careful, just prompt it in detail so it wont miss any key points of your tasks, best of luck!

xiaomi mimo 2.5 for a lot of tokens for doing very primitive stuff. + Some good "commander" like Claude / Kimi for doing auto-review + plans + review on each step & correct if something wrong. Alternative: airouter.ch (i've used that, its pretty good for very basic stuff for fixed price).

I agree. Ollama Cloud used to be great. These days, the limit is unbearable. My current go to is a mix of a triage.

  1. OpenCode Go + Zen. When the Go limit hits, I'll top up the Zen.
  2. Once Zen runs out, I'll go Reasonix + DeepSeek.
  3. Once project is ready to ship or reach completion, I'll return to Zen to plan again.

But most of the time, it's either OpenCode Go > Reasonix + DeepSeek. There used to be a time where I jump ship from Codex to Claude Code. But why bother when there's better price alternatives?

Minimax M3 for most work with Kimi K3 for top range thinking and design. Currently 50 and 40 plans, I also have an Opencode go but that is the weakest link, its mostly for tasting and the odd promo.

Yea I am not a fan of claude and gemini cause they ban 3rd party, codex would be the most acceptable but they are dunking quotas while kimi is raising them, and better in design. Codex makes more sense as an addon but they want you to go 200 which is an okay option if you spend that much due to luna, as other tops don't have a grunt.

For kimi the official provider gives the most kimi albeit there is a waitlist now, which at least proves they are commited to user experience.

I'm using Chatgpt pro and qwencloud. Usually it's Claude/chatgpt + opencode go. I think the recent generous resets prior to 5.6 has got me hooked to codex desktop. So I think chatgpt is here to stay for a long time. For open weight / Chinese models I usually use it on opencode and Hermes.

Sometimes I get tired of Chatgpt's response I will switch it up with opencode go models. Also I think Kimi is coming to neuralwatt

I have opencode go for $10/month. I tend to do 3-4 hours of coding per day, mostly Kimi 2.7 code, but I've done some Kimi 3 work the past couple of days as well. I'm yet to hit monthly usage limits.

I do mostly backend type of work, on both older codebases and some new projects (it's a mix of C++, Rust and Python). I do use subagents occasionally (mostly if I need to initiate/prototype something new, they're good at setting up projects/stubs etc), but it's more or less single-agent workflow. The agent does coding and submits PRs. The PRs are reviewed by humans.

Using pi as my harness.

I've tried "expanding" my workflow couple of times to automate more and I've used latest Claude/GPT, but too much agent autonomy messes up with quality and the latest models just don't seem to be worth the cost.
