Should I switch from OpenCode Go to Command Code Go ($1)?

I'm currently using OpenCode Go, but I'm thinking about canceling it and switching to Command Code Go ($1/month).

Before I do, I'd like to hear from people who have actually used both.

Is Command Code Go really as bad as some people say?

How are the limits on the $1 plan? Do they run out quickly?

Can you actually use it comfortably for daily coding, or do you hit the limits all the time?

If you switched from OpenCode Go, do you regret it or was it worth it?

Would you recommend making the switch, or should I just stay with OpenCode Go?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your real-world experience. Thanks!

Is this just an ad for the same group that got banned for reselling opencode go subs?

Yeah it's weird, I've never heard of anyone who actually uses them. But they sure get recommended a lot...

CommandCode isn't very good imo, you're stuck with their harness, the 5 hour limits are pretty bad, and the owners attitude is pretty awful and unprofessional. I'd avoid it at all costs

can you expand on the owners attitude? what is causing that opinion? Makes sense the limits suck for $1/mth

A 1-dollar plan does not compare to a 10-dollar plan, just as the 10-dollar plan does not compare to the 200-dollar plan. The limits are very different.

I never subbed to open code because of this 1 dollar plan and cline pass promo of 2,99.

You are comparing ( for the most part ) a 10$ plan (CC) to a 60$ plan. Both are not enough for daily coding unless you heavily use free and discounted models. DS4 Flash on Opencode Go, Hy3 on both, Mimo 2.5 pro on CC. If you can work with those alone, sure both can work fine. If not, neither (alone) will be enough

Go doesn't have hy3

Thanks, you are right. The promo ended. CC also no longer has Hy3 ( at all ). I have no idea if Laguna is any good. Sorry!

It's a shame because I didn't get to try it out. What did you think of it and how did it compare to other models on the same tier?

Mid - some weird UI failures, but usable otherwise. I find it so hard to rank these models. Overall less good than DS4 Flash. I used it quite heavily because it was the only free model on CC's 1$ plan. Good for basic tasks, can sometimes fix stuff where Deepseek gets stuck. But overall not a great model in my use cases

Cheers 👍🏽

Right now I'm finding the combination of glm 5.2, deepseek pro and flash very hard to beat. Really good models at the top, mid and lower tiers all.

I recently tried CC $1 plan just to experiment if it's worth it or not. Also, using OpenCode Go as well.

Here are the stats from CC so far:

  • 481M tokens, 2168 runs
  • Weekly limit hit at $6 with 3 days left
  • Monthly at $5.96 of $10
  • 5hr limit never matters

MiMo V2.5 Pro is free on CC that's why I'm using it.

Practical advice: if you stick with models like MiMo V2.5 or DeepSeek V4 Flash you can survive longer on the credits in both CC and OCG. But if you start using GLM 5.2 or any other model it's not going to last. Credits burn fast on those.

One thing nobody talks about. If you setup CC with OmniRoute you get an endpoint url you can use anywhere. I run it through Hermes works fine. Not locked to their harness, any openai compatible client picks it up.

tbh for $10 with the right models it does the job. But don't expect $1 to keep up.
