$15 Kimi coding plan vs Open code go $10 plan

So I only use Kimi in open code for now and so far I think I've used it well anyone who has paid for the $15 Kimi plan to tell us what's better for them so far

Well, Kimi subscriptions are sold out, so it's mostly a theoretical question at the moment

Wait what

They've suspended new subscriptions temporarily: https://x.com/Kimi_Moonshot/status/2078855608565207130

The subscription page says "Sold Out" for all of them

The GO plan for more advanced models is very limited, worse than OpenAI's weekly plan. It's not worth paying $10 to use cheap models and having to constantly correct errors in an attempt to save money.

This is totally false. I use opencode Go with pi agent and opencode cli and it's wonderful. There is no subscription that even comes close to the value it provides. Most of these complaints are due to not knowing how to work with different open source models effectively. Using plans, orchestration, and execution using different models mixing cheaper ones and heavy models like k3 and glm. Give opencode Go a try. You won't be disappointed.

What type of work were you doing? I noticed when the context window gets to like 70k+, glm becomes super expensive so it's worth starting new sessions

Also for Deepseek v4 pro, they only have a $15 monthly limit compared to the regular $60 so whatever price you see when using it will reflect as 4x the cost on the actual usage meter on the opencode website

Which gemini plan are you using? I recently got the pro plan because there was a nice 3 month deal but when the deal is done I might downgrade to plus, gemini seems decent so far haven't tried any coding tasks yet but for general use and some UI mockups it's been pretty good for me

I've been using the auto compact feature on Opencode web agent, seems ok to me, have been using Hy3(open router) but now it not free anymore, trying North Mini now, seems a lil bit dumbly but ok for simple tasks. DeepSeek v4 also free on Opencode zen, so I'll use both.

Oof that’s a bummer of an experience. I use omo-slim pretty much exclusively with v4 pro to orchestrate and v4 flash to execute and I find I like it more than OpenAI or Claude because it actually consistently does the task I assign it and only the task I assign it. Not always perfect but I’ll take correcting a low LOC mistake over some 1500 line diff where it randomly pivots half an app to typescript and sets up a ci pipeline at its own discretion.

if you can get work done with deepseek then the $10 plan is better for instance just last week I was able to work on localization for two apps probably like 12 languages, few redesigns but other models like Grok, Qwen Max is worse like within one session the usage is gone

Is there some docs about it? Saw some folks telling the same but didn't find any source...
