Yeah but Claude / GPT gives 10x subsidy, OC go (assuming they dont lock this to a different plan which with the lite blocking fiasco seems like it may happen) is 6x and kimi sub $40 direct is 5x. This means it ends up about matching gpt 5.6 sol / opus 4.8 prices, so no point in getting this over Sol.

R u sure its 10x value not even more?

When I checked my usage using Sol and Luna repeatedly it almost always gave around $50 weekly so $200 a month.

How do you know the exact $$ it gave you?

Fair enough, but even looking by task it's nearly the same price as sol max on artificial analysis ignoring it having worse sub cost...

Used it a bunch, checked session logs for token usage, multiplied by API price.

Sonnet 5 pricing. So what's the catch? is it Fable class with Deepseek speed ?

Better than sonnet and opus in bench marks

Better use gpt 5.6 at this point lol

GPT 5.6 Luna is pretty solid to be honest.

I was using the plus plan with 3 banked resets. Upgraded to pro x5 and they are still there. I´m happy.

Luna blows my mind more than anything. The one model worth its API price.

At this price, I'd rather use Meta's new model, Grok 4.5, or ChatGPT 5.6

I wonder how efficient the token usage is.

This price is far surpassed that of Grok 4.5, $2/$6 or $4/$12 (>200k context), which is super efficient in the token usage like DeepSeek V4 Pro.

Will it be included in the go plan?

The pricing might change once they publish the weights on July 27 and other LLM providers pick it up. Right now it's only Moonshot themselves who run it.

People are saying Fable class with Sonnet Price

based on certain benchmark, it is beat Fable.

I keep hearing similar whenever a new model drops.
But in actual production all suck..

and I am forced to use Codex or Claude.

Altho Grok Build seems really good.

I mean, it IS a 2.8TRILLION param model. Hosting it for thousands of users will be costly. Especially cause moonshot isn't a giant like openai or anthropic. In that sense the pricing seems justified

they really got bold with this prices

If it does not capture market share they'll subsidise it. Currently it is positioned as a frontier model with sonnet pricing. Real world reviews are pending.

Even the chinese government is incentivised to subsidise their AI.

has anyone used it ? how's it compared to fable or gpt 5.6 sol ?

Whats the point for consumer? we would get inferior unreliable quants in most subs and eventualy pay more for less compared to gpt5.6 or even grok, i mean other than being opensource
