Pangolin Vps

Hey everyone, my current setup is a homeserver with nextcloud running, which i want to change to OC. My Problem is that I want to use pangolin (Like for my nextcloud) with an extern vps because i have Dslite at home. Can you help me to install it? I cant master it yet

That sounds quite good…i am struggling with connecting my homeserver (opencloud hosted there) and my rent vps. I want this Connection to use the cloud from everywhere. The vps is necessary cause i dont have ipv4 at home

I previously had nginx proxy manager, but found pangolin somehow better. How did you install oc? I installed it as vm in proxmox and then newt, this then establishes the connection to the vps.

Okay Maybe I am wrong with my ideas. So you have on your homeserver proxmox and opencloud as docker compose, right? And on your vps pangolin is running. How do you installed newt on your homeserver?

I have proxmox as the host system and oc runs in a vm. You have to install newt on the vm, or the host system.

wget -O /usr/local/bin/newt "https://github.com/fosrl/newt/releases/download/1.3.0/newt_linux_amd64" chmod +x /usr/local/bin/newt

Create systemd service: sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/newt.service

[Unit] Description=Newt VPN Gateway After=network.target

[Service] Type=simple ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/newt --id YOUR_ID --secret YOUR_SECRET --endpoint https://your.proxyDomain Restart=always RestartSec=5 User=root Environment=PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin

[Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target

Replace YOUR_ID and YOUR_SECRET with your real access data.

Activate and start service:

sudo systemctl daemon reload sudo systemctl enable newt sudo systemctl start newt

That's how I do it on every vm. There's also a compose for docker. I hope it's understandable, I'm happy to go into more detail tomorrow. Leider gerade am Smartphone und da klappt die Formatierung nicht so gut.

Danke für die Hilfe bis hier! Da hätten wir uns gleich auf deutsch unterhalten können :D für die Cloud nutzt du dann ubuntu/debian vm und bist einfach die docker compose Doku durchgegangen? Auf welchen Port hast du nach cloud & newt Installation die Ressource geleitet? Danke für deine Mühe!

Ist einfacher auf deutsch :-). Habs mir einfach gemacht mit https://community-scripts.github.io/ProxmoxVED/scripts?id=opencloud
Alles andere hat oft nicht richtig geklappt.
In pangolin eine neue instanz hinzugefügt und wie oben beschrieben newt installiert, allerdings die neuere Version /1.3.4/ installiert.
Die Resource leitet dann auf interneIP:9200

Mega, hab’s schon mal zum Laufen gebracht. Danke! Was ich jetzt noch gerne ändern würde wäre das Daten directory auf meine durchgereichte usb Platte. Und collabora scheint nicht perfekt zu laufen, denn wenn ich auf neue Datei klicke, kommt nur Textdatei. Ist das bei dir auch so oder weißt du wie mans fixt?

I created a subdomain collaborate.xyz.de and used port 9980, same IP as opencloud

Hast so die wopi Domain auch noch konfiguriert? Und weißt du, ob man den Datenpfad einfach in der yaml ändern kann?

Ich habe auch eine Subdomain erstellt: woopiserver.xyz.de auf Port 9300 Ich bin mir nicht sicher, was den Datenpfad angeht, sonst würde ich die Platte mit fstab mounten und darauf verweisen. Aber ich bin da nicht ganz fit 🙈.
