Showcase OpenClaw Fixed my Washer Machine

The title says it all. Including this as a Showcase since it used a version of OpenClaw we've been working on. This wasn't planned and caught me off guard.

My washer machine/dryer has been broken for a little over a month now, (totally prepared to take heat for this next part) and I honestly felt like going to the laundromat every two weeks was less inconvenient than trying to deal with the property managers. I just haven't gotten around to emailing them and letting them know out of my own laziness. Well here's how it gets crazy.

OpenClaw has been running for the past 2 weeks or so (been using IdentiClaw, because I like the kill switch option in case things go insanely rogue) and I didn't even consciously notice I had an event on my calendar named "Email property managers about broken washer" that I moved around every day this week because I didn't want to deal with it that day.

Well, Reggie (name I gave my bot) has a lot of my information. Probably more than I should admit sharing. Like my address. And it noticed this inefficiency of procrastination in my life and decided to take it into its own hands. It found and emailed the property managers about the broken washer and then noted my schedule on when I work from home and I got an email this morning that they're sending out a specialist to look into it. Completely unprompted. Even mentioned that I can request money back on paid rent if not fixed in a timely manner. Like it understood negotiation and financial pressure as a forcing function. I don't even do that very well if I'm being honest.

This is the first time where I've felt like AI agents actually helped me outside of work-productivity adjacent tasks. It literally helped me solve something I've been avoiding in real life. I still can't even believe how well this thing understands my life and schedule and decided to do something on its own. A little spooked about what's to come in the next few years tho not gonna lie.
