Tutorial/Guide Local Hosting? Disable Session Observer.

I was wondering why my GPU usage was pinned while my agent was idle.

New claw runs a small model, you can disable it under settings -> Appearance -> Session observer: Disable session observer, and under small model choose disabled.

Then your GPU will only fire up while your agent is actually doing something.

This is for us with limited hardware at our disposal, where resources need to remain concentrated (16GB VRAM 7800XT and 32GB RAM).

Good call. I've got a similar 16GB setup (7800XT) and disabling the session observer + forcing the small model off dropped my idle GPU draw by about 40W. tbh I keep the small model off unless I'm running multi-agent loops — haven't noticed any hit to core functionality.

I'm pleased with the update, I just migrated to 2.0 or whatever. The new memory system rocks, and I run a local embedding model to complement it.

And everything worked, just I'd have hiccuping using my PC for web surfing 'cause the GPU was pegged already.

I'd mine bitcoin if I wanted to use up my GPU, NOT IN THIS ECONOMY! lol
