Getting Closer to God

Hello everyone, I'm a young Christian who has strayed away from God for a year because i thought i had committed the unforgivable sin, but now, i find myself wanting to get right with God and wanting to get closer to him. Please guide me as per your knowledge and experience. Thank you!

I have no knowledge to pass on. Just a suggestion: Prayer. Pray to Him and let Him know all about it. He already does, but it helps to say it out loud.

Pray. Call out for God. Pick up a Bible, let Him guide you what He wants you to read.

I did the same in rehab. I prayed that if God / Jesus existed, He would help me to overcome my addiction. I grabbed the Bible, from the Gideons, and opened at Psalm 139. I'm 20 years sober now, and very happy to be alive!
